1930 740 Runabout (Custom Eight)

Classic-looking Packard.

Garaged in Sydney.

The 1930 740 runs and looks wonderful.

Purchased for $250,000 in 2019 at the closing down sale for the Gosford Classic Car Museum.

I have added (1) dual side-mounted mirrors that are original Packard/Cadillac options (2) correct vintage trunk (3) new ignition coil keyset (4) put a modern mechanical seal inside the water pump so it doesn’t leak like they originally did but it looks right (5) I also have the two correct radiator caps – the Goddess of Speed (“Donut chaser”) and Adonis (“Sliding boy”). Both are perfect.
