Thirty-Six Packards made it to the starting line of the 19th National Packard Rally in 2022 (May 1-7). Held at Mount Panorama in Bathurst, Australia’s premier racing track about 200km west of Sydney, rally goers ruled the 6.213km track for a week, with most staying trackside at the Rydges Hotel. The rally was scheduled for 2021 but was delayed a year because of COVID. Organiser Robert Stone had a wish-list for a 100 Packards but the pandemic kept many away. Besides the 36 Packards, another 20 members turned up in 10 moderns. The seven-day rally had four runs (100km, 70km, 115km, 90km) and a concours, with the Bathurst City Council closing off an inner-city street for the judging.
