1946 Clipper Six Touring Sedan. This car was originally owned by my Grandfather. When he bought it, he took a couple of friends with him from Newry to pick it up from Kellow Falkiner in Melbourne. When they got there, the car was waiting for him with the engine running. He completed the paperwork, got in the car and left. On the way home they stopped at Bunyip for a couple of beers, but when they came out of the pub the car wouldn’t start. After a frustrating time he called Kellow Falkiner, and they politely told him to press his foot on the accelerator and it started! He sold it around 1970 but kept in touch with the new owner and eventually bought it back. He had the motor rebuilt by Peter Hall, replaced the wiring loom and reconditioned the brakes. Apart from that the car is pretty much original. Dad gave me the keys for my 21st birthday!
