Car information
This car was imported form the USA in about 1992. It was a very original vehicle almost complete with very few parts missing and had only 53,000 miles on the speedo. Last registered in Pennsylvania in 1952, having been on the road for 23 years and only averaging 2300 miles per year. Pennsylvania was, and is still, a wealthy part of America, and being a Limo the Packard was probably owned by a wealthy family and was chauffeur driven and maintained. The body was rusty and all the upholstery – although torn and moth eaten – was able to be easily copied. The timber-work was in excellent condition. The upholstery job is excellent and very elegant – pure luxury, including inlaid timber art on door moldings. After a seven year total bare-metal restoration we have a perfect example of a wealthy person’s luxury limousine on the late 1920’s in America. This very elegant car painted with double burgundy and is well admired where ever it goes. It is a previous winner of the People’s Choice at Birdwood, also previous winner of the Concourse d’ Elegance of the Bay to Birdwood Rally and is also winner of several Concourse Packard National Rallies.
