The Car was believed to be imported by two Americans Ira L. &. A. C Berk who founded a Packard agency in Kings Cross ,Sydney Australia. It was provided by Packard as a promotional vehicle and was fitted with a low ratio differential to give a higher cruising speed – “2,200 rpm @ 70 mph“. The car was used for 5 years until one of the American partners returned to America.
1932/2/19 – Sold to William Phillip of Rhodes, Linacres, Victoria.
1935/11/19 – William Phillip sold the car to Kate Tucker of East Brunswick Victoria.
1957/06/29 – Sold to John Gilham of Heidelberg Victoria.
1959/10/13 – Sold to Stuart. S . Middlehurst of Warrigal Victoria.
1961/11/25 – Sold to Best Overand of Morwell Victoria.
1963/1/18 – Sold to Bruce Smeaton of Windsor Victoria.
Bruce painted the car the present cream color with a spray powered by a vacuum cleaner – not a bad job considering.
1964/9/05 – Sold to Greg Meehan of Caulfield Victoria. Greg assisted us with much of maintenance history of the car.
We purchased the car on November 11, 2007.
