Car information

1926 Packard Model 333. 3rd Series 6 cylinder, 267 Sedan, Limousine. Originally from Australian mainland. Shipped to Tasmania after WW2. Cut into a utility and then bought by Lionel Weeks in 1947 for 17 pounds and has been in the Weeks family ever since. Fully restored by 2013. Majority of the restoration by The Vintage Motor Garage, Central Mangrove, NSW. Interior trimming was installed in Burnie, Tasmania. The car was used on my Grandfathers farm as a utility vehicle including as a tractor pulling implements, cartage device for rocks wood and possibly cattle to market. Local church choir were carried to various venues for singing performances. The car had a canvas cover over the back and the choir sat on a couple of wooden pews. The body frame rotted so badly that most of the remaining body fell to pieces and was eventually thrown away. Various body parts were found in a creek and a rubbish dump in nearby bush. A spare parts car was also purchased which provided extra parts like instruments. A piece of our family’s heritage back in the condition it deserves.
